I did not love being pregnant, although I will admit I miss parts about it, like the tiny flutters of little feet & the bond that was created between me and my son. I had constant heart burn & nausea, I didn't have an appetite until I was in my third trimester, and even then, eating was not enjoyable! Least to say, being pregnant did not bode well for staying in shape.
In the months that followed the delivery of our beautiful baby boy I have never felt so centered or present. It was as though a shift my universe occurred and I was able to see the world around me more clearly. It has been a journey to find a new semblance of balance in my life, a new appreciation for sleep and a new understanding of time.
I am on the road to getting back in shape, and every mile and downward dog along the way fills my heart with gratitude and peace. I am thankful for the mother I have become and I am finding ways to restore balance to my life. I am making it a priority to read before bed each night, to workout regularly each week and to find joy in each tiny moment I have with my family and reassurance in the fact that memories last forever.
I am still a WORRY warrior, but now I am a mother too!
